Stop Fraud

Security Alerts: December 7, 2011

The FBI bureau in Denver has issued an advisory about a possible new wave of malware attack during the holiday season. The attack begins with spam email appearing to be legitimate email from "NACHA", the National Automated Clearing House Association (nacha.org). While NACHA is part of our nation's network for electronically moving money and data, NACHA never sends email to individuals warning about problems with specific transactions.

The link presented in the fake NACHA email leads to a malicious website, designed to immediately install a highly dangerous application known as "Zeus" or "Gameover". Your anti-virus software might not detect it.

LFCU believes members may receive email from thieves distributing this spam. Delete any email you receive from NACHA. DO NOT CLICK ANY LINKS WITHIN THE EMAIL. If you have any question about the status of any financial transaction involving Langley, call our Contact Center or get assistance at your nearest branch.
